Our instructors are all A S A level 2 qualified instructors with a total of over 100 years of experience
Amanda Wright qualified in 2000 and has a lot of experience in teaching children with hearing issues
Nicki Leavens qualified in 1994 her interest is working with children with her therapy dog at a local school
Helen Eldrigde qualified in 2004 and has worked teaching for the local council
Jo Zachwatajlo qualified in 2008 and has a lot of experience in teaching children with austism
Wendy Smith who qualifed in 2019 is our relief teacher who works in a local school with SEN children and coaches a variety of sports
We treat all our pupils as individuals and with small classes (4 per class for beginners and maximum of 5 for swimmers)are able to adapt our teaching methods to suit all children. We ensure that our classes are of children of similar ability and age .We follow the Swim England learn to swim programme with children working through their swimming awards at their own pace. We aim for each child to receive their next level or distance certificate at the end of each course.
For our older pupils we work through the Water Safety awards teaching them the importance of the dangers of water and personal survival skills, including swimming in their pyjamas.
A lot of our swimmer go on to swim for the Clacton Swimming Club
Lessons are for half an hour
Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday 3.45 till 645pm
Friday 4pm till 630pm.
A 11 week course costs £158(includes certificate and badge)

We use the pool at Bentley Country Park . The pool is 15m long and 10m width
The depth at the shallow end is 1.1m and 1.5m in the deep end.
My name is Amanda Wright, I started teaching swimming in 2000 and set up my swim school in 2003 . My colleagues Nicki has been teaching since 1994 Helen since 2004 and Jo since 2008
My sons learns to swim with Amanda at Learn to Swim the Wright Way and he loves his swimming lessons. When he started, he was very unsure of the water but has now turned into a water baby growing in confidence in each lesson.
The small group sizes means that extra 1-1 support can be provided to each child as well as them being group with swimmers of similar ability . I cannot recommend enough !
My son was really nervous of the water but after only a few weeks with Amanda as his instructor swimming is now his favourite activity of the week
